This year�s festival will revolve around the theme of the 40th anniversary of the Marine Broadcasting Offences Act which outlawed pirate radio, Harwich being at the very heart of the pirate radio movement, which flourished off the east coast during the 1960s and 1970s. Branch Chairman, Richard Oxborrow, says �This year�s festival will not only be a great occasion for lovers of real ale but will also be a focal point for pirate radio enthusiasts who will appreciate the opportunity to swap stories and memories over a decent pint.
